Hösten gör sig påmind och nu börjar den administrativa starten av vintersäsongen 2026/27. Vi ser fram emot att isen lägger sig och som vanligt är det förmodligen Burtjärn som kan bjuda på första isen. Än är det för varmt för att spana efter is men tiden går fort. Vi kommer som vanligt att lägga ut israpporter på vår hemsida så håll utkik.
Vi hoppas att vi får en lång säsong med både isbanor och skidspår men det är alltid vädret som bestämmer den delen. Eftersom vi sätter säkerheten i första rum så kommer vi att mäta och bedöma isen innan vi beslutet att öppna verksamheten.
Väsman VinterArena jobbar helt ideellt och därför vill vi tacka alla som stöttade oss under förra säsongen och hoppas att ni är med oss även denna säsong, det gäller både sponsorer och allmänheten. Det är ni som ger oss energi att fortsätta vårt jobb för att upprätthålla isbanor och skidspår på Väsman och Burtjärn. Vi jobbar på att utveckla vår idé för att ge bygden ett alternativ till fritidsaktiviteter och locka turister som vi tror stärker kommunen.
Nu väntar vi på kylan.
Autumn is making its presence, and now the administrative start of the 2026/27 winter season begins. We’re looking forward to the ice forming, and as usual, it’s probably Burtjärn that will offer the first ice. It’s still too warm to look for ice, but time goes by quickly. As usual, we will post ice reports on our website, so keep an eye out. We hope for a long season with both ice tracks and ski trails, but it’s always the weather that decides that part. Since we prioritize safety first, we will measure and assess the ice before we make the decision to open.
Väsman WinterArena operates entirely on a volunteer basis, and therefore we want to thank everyone who supported us during last season and hope that you will be with us this season as well, including both sponsors and the general public. It’s you who give us the energy to continue our work maintaining the ice tracks and ski trails at Väsman and Burtjärn. We are working on developing our idea to give the community an option for recreational activities and attract tourists, which we believe will strengthen the municipality.
Now we are waiting for the cold.
